TMS for Treatment-Resistant Depression:
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation is a safe, effective, and widely accepted procedure that can be very helpful for people suffering from depression. Please click the link here for more details about TMS. For more details about clinical depression you can click here to read more.
Currently, two different types of antidepressants are required before insurance companies will approve coverage of TMS treatment. If paying out of pocket (not using your insurance), the aforementioned requirements of antidepressants does not apply to you. Of note, The C.U.B.E. is led by a psychiatrist with the treatment philosophy of antidepressants only being used as a last resort after other options have been explored. This is due to the potential side effects. This practice works very hard to educate and inform patients before any prescribing takes place.
For patients that have tried multiple medications in the past, we recommend testing for how your body metabolizes medications to determine what is the best option for you. This service is at least partially covered by your insurance. You can click the link here for more details.
Talk Therapy Network:
The C.U.B.E. has great relationships with therapists in the community that can assist with most conditions. This practice is a huge advocate of talk therapy, as it can be a very effective way to treat and prevent some forms of mental illness. As such, at least one course of talk therapy is highly encouraged for all of our patients. Please contact The C.U.B.E. for more details here.
Coordination Of Care Amongst A Network Of Providers:
The C.U.B.E. understands that medication management is not the only option for achieving stability. We take pride in our relationships with therapists, naturopathic providers, primary care providers, and other specialists in the community.
